HP-P09 vertical steam sterilizer for laboratory use

HP-P09 Vertical Steam Sterilizer (Standard)

HP-P09 is the third Normal (standard) vertical steam sterilizer, a straightforward autoclave for laboratory glassware, media and waste.

Price, lead time and documents for your market are confirmed in the quotation.

Key takeaways

  • HP-P09 is the third of four Normal (standard) vertical steam sterilizers, HP-P07 to HP-P10.
  • As an autoclave for laboratory work, a standard vertical unit covers glassware, media and bagged waste.
  • Labs sterilizing wrapped or porous loads should compare the Pulse-Vacuum version, HP-P19 to HP-P22.

HP-P09 is the third model in the Normal version of our vertical steam sterilizer line. As an autoclave for laboratory work, the standard vertical format handles glassware, media and bagged waste in baskets without taking up bench space.

HP-P09 sits between HP-P08 and HP-P10. Labs that prefer a Spiral-version unit can compare HP-P03, and labs with wrapped or porous loads should look at the Pulse-Vacuum version, HP-P19 to HP-P22. Cycle and chamber data for HP-P09 come on its data sheet.

Frequently asked questions

+Is a standard vertical steam sterilizer enough for a laboratory?

For glassware, many media and bagged waste, a standard vertical autoclave without vacuum is the usual lab choice. Wrapped porous loads and hollow items need vacuum air removal. Tell us what your lab processes and we will confirm whether HP-P09 or a Pulse-Vacuum model fits.

+What is a gravity displacement autoclave?

It removes air by gravity: steam enters the chamber and, being lighter, pushes the heavier air down and out through a drain or vent. It is simple and reliable for unwrapped and solid loads but less effective for wrapped, porous or hollow items.

+Can you autoclave glass?

Yes. Borosilicate laboratory glass is made for autoclaving. Loosen caps on bottles, never seal containers airtight, and avoid sudden temperature changes when unloading. Ordinary soda-lime glass is more likely to crack.

+What water level does an autoclave need?

Keep the water at the level marked in the chamber or reservoir before every cycle. Too little can let the heater run dry and damage it; too much can wet the load. Use distilled or deionized water.
