Horizontal Steam Sterilizers for Hospital CSSDs and Large Labs: Front-Loading Horizontal Autoclaves
Horizontal steam sterilizer range for hospital central sterile supply departments, theatre sterile services and large laboratories: 11 front-loading horizontal autoclaves (HP-N36 to HP-N46) in open-frame and enclosed-cabinet designs, quoted with data sheets.
11 products
Key takeaways
- Three designs: white chamber on an open frame (HP-N36 to HP-N40), enclosed cabinet (HP-N41 to HP-N43) and bright-metal chamber on an open frame (HP-N44 to HP-N46).
- All load from the front through a hand-wheel door, so racks and large trays slide in at a fixed height; check the loading height against your trolleys.
- Chamber volume, pressure, temperature, power and the air-removal method are confirmed per model on the data sheet sent with the quotation.
This collection lists every horizontal steam sterilizer we supply to hospitals, surgical centers, large laboratories and equipment distributors: 11 front-loading, floor-standing horizontal autoclaves built for central sterile supply and high-volume loads. It is the horizontal part of our autoclave and steam sterilizer range.
How to choose a horizontal autoclave
- Design group. The 11 models share a front-loading horizontal chamber closed by a radial hand-wheel door with two pressure gauges above it, and differ in how the chamber is housed: HP-N36 to HP-N40 carry a white cylindrical chamber on an open steel frame with a second vessel and front control box below; HP-N41 to HP-N43 enclose the chamber in an upright cabinet with a digital control panel near the base, presenting one flat face to the sterile-supply room; HP-N44 to HP-N46 use the open-frame layout with a bright-metal chamber. The open frame leaves the pipework and lower vessel in view for routine inspection.
- Chamber size. Horizontal units are sized by the number of trays or packs per cycle; each group offers several models, and the chamber volume, usable dimensions and rack layout of each one are confirmed on the data sheet. Count your instrument trays, linen and textile packs, dressing drums and bulky glassware per day, and move to this format when they outgrow a vertical sterilizer or when a new CSSD is being equipped. Ward and laboratory loads that fit a top-loading chamber are covered by our vertical autoclaves.
- Load types and air removal. Tell us whether you run unwrapped, wrapped, hollow, textile or liquid loads; the air-removal method, programs and load limits of each model are confirmed with the quotation.
- Installation. Racks and trays slide in at a fixed height, so check the loading height against your trolleys; it is sent with the data sheet. Plan floor area, door-swing clearance, floor loading and drainage, state whether the unit will take its steam from a built-in generator or an external supply, and give the mains voltage, frequency and phase.
- Safety and service. Expect a pressure chamber, a sealed door with locking wheel and gasket, gauges, safety valve, steam supply, drain and exhaust lines, temperature sensing and controls. Ask for the spare-parts list so you can stock gaskets and wear items, and follow local pressure-vessel rules for periodic inspection of the vessel and safety valve.

Horizontal autoclaves for distributors, hospitals and laboratories
We quote horizontal steam sterilizers to hospitals equipping a new CSSD, surgical centers moving from several vertical units to one front-loading machine, research institutes and equipment distributors, by model and quantity; a hospital fitting out a CSSD with enclosed units throughout can quote HP-N41, HP-N42 and HP-N43 together. Each quotation lists the machine, racks and trays, spare parts, packing and the documents for the destination market; MOQ and lead time are confirmed with the quotation. Certificates, declarations of conformity and test reports for the specific product and destination market are provided with the quotation. When you request a quote, tell us the trays or packs per cycle and per day, the load types, the installation space and steam supply, the mains voltage, frequency and phase, and the destination country.
Frequently asked questions
+Which horizontal steam sterilizer suits a new hospital CSSD?
Hospitals equipping a CSSD usually compare one design group across several sizes: the open-frame HP-N36 to HP-N40 offers five models, the enclosed-cabinet HP-N41 to HP-N43 three and the bright-metal HP-N44 to HP-N46 three. Send the trays or packs per cycle and per day and we will propose the chamber size.
+What is the difference between a vertical and a horizontal autoclave?
The chamber orientation decides how you load: top-loading baskets in a vertical unit, front-loading racks and trays in a horizontal one. Horizontal units usually carry larger chambers and need more installation planning, and they are chosen when trays, linen packs and drums no longer fit a vertical chamber.
+What capacity do the horizontal autoclaves have?
Horizontal units are the largest format in the range and are sized by the number of trays or packs per cycle. The chamber dimensions, usable volume and rack layout of each model are confirmed on the data sheet sent with the quotation; ask for them to plan loads.
+What should I prepare for installation?
Floor area, door-swing clearance, floor loading and drainage, the loading height of your trolleys, the water or steam supply and the mains voltage, frequency and phase. Trained staff should follow the model manual and local pressure-vessel rules, including periodic inspection of the vessel and safety valve.
+What should a horizontal autoclave quote request include?
The models you are comparing, quantity, load types (unwrapped, wrapped, hollow, textile or liquid), trays or packs per day, the installation space and steam supply, spare parts to stock such as gaskets and wear items, and the destination country so the document set matches your registration or import requirements.
